The rules for haikus in English are fairly strict, and a bit weird historically speaking. I mean, they were designed by speakers of Japanese, which is kind of, like, a whole nother language kind of thing. Anyway, here's one that's been breaking my heart recently:

In the Lemon Lounge

While I looked the other way

Did you spill my pint?

(It would be even more piercing if it wasn't for those blooming rules...)
